Early Career Team
Our Early Career Team has a wealth of experience supporting novice teachers and mentors, from NQT, RQT to the ECF Framework. All our Early Career Leads have mentored trainees and novice teachers in schools and work closely with our SCITT to ensure progression and continuity from ITT. Our school based ECLs, who are seconded to work with us, are practising ECF mentors and Induction Tutors and this is their third year delivering the ECF.
Most of the team are Mental Health First Aiders having completed the two day Mental Health First Aider Training by MHFA England.
We work collaboratively with schools to implement an ECF programme in line with the ECT’s needs. We have recently moved to UCL as our ECF partner to further facilitate an ECF programme that we can tailor to meet schools’ different contexts. Our supportive administrative team work collaboratively on our Appropriate Body service and ensure we try minimise the administrative burden of these two service on schools. Additionally our Director of Appropriate Body, is our SEN Early Career Lead.
