Appropriate Body (AB)

If your school employs a newly-qualified teacher (or Early Career Teacher – ECT), you must register them with an Appropriate Body.

The Appropriate Body will provide independent quality assurance of the ECT’s two-year induction, and this will include checking that the ECT is receiving a programme of support and training based on the Early Career Framework.

Your choice of Early Career Framework professional development programme is independent from your Appropriate Body. We welcome ECT registrations from all schools regardless of the ECF professional development programme you have chosen.

For queries relating to our AB, please contact Katie Arthur on AB@rklt.co.uk

ECT Manager

ECT Manager (formerly called NQT manager) is a paperless ECT management system used by many Appropriate Bodies, including Red Kite. It allows you to register your ECTs and submit assessments online.

It is very easy to use. Just follow the link, click on the ‘Register your School’ option and select your school from the drop-down list. You simply complete contact details for the ECF Lead/Induction Tutor in school to receive your log in details.

If your school isn’t on the drop-down list, please email AB@rklt.co.uk.
