Leading and Learning Together
Posted 3rd March 2023
On Monday 27th February we were delighted to welcome our fourth NPQ cohort to Harrogate Grammar School for the launch of their Leadership and Specialist NPQ programmes.
93 participants joined the conference to kick start their NPQ journey highlighting how to maximise the benefits of the programmes.
Leading and Learning Together was the theme for the day and it was fantastic to see so many colleagues coming together from across our region to embark on their NPQ journeys. Not only learning from the evidence base in their leadership specialisms, but crucially from each other.
Keynote speakers at the conference were Richard Sheriff, Chief Executive of Red Kite Learning Trust and Hayley Clacy, Headteacher at Spen Valley High School. Richard Sheriff opened the conference with the exploration of the history of school leadership and the development of collaboration. Hayley Clacy shared her experiences around Emotion in Leadership.
By selecting to train with their local Teaching School Hub, Red Kite NPQ participants are provided with the opportunity to meet and network with new NPQ colleagues and their facilitator. We understand that time out of school can create pressure but we host just 2 conferences in-person and we believe they provide a fantastic opportunity to establish relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the region.
The day was a huge success and we are looking forward to the growth and development of our colleagues.
